4 reasons why you should watch “Descendants Of the Sun” drama

“Descendants of the Sun” is a highly anticipated Korean drama to be released on February 24. It tells about the story of a UN captain (Song Joong Ki) and a doctor (Song Hye Kyo) who fall in love while providing aid in a foreign country dealing with a natural disaster and civil strife.
1. The Comeback of Song Joong Ki after 2 years

Song Joong Ki makes his K-Drama return in the series, following his mandatory military service. His role is highly-anticipated, as it follows the success of his last screen appearances in the 2012 hits, "The Innocent Man" and "A Werewolf Boy”. Despite a quite long time not participating in any movies, Song Joong Ki still brings an extreme heat and is one of the most expected actors to those who love Korean dramas.
In "Descendants of the Sun" he plays an officer with a United Nations special peacekeeping force. His character is the kind of man who has to make life and death decisions without any sentimentality.
