D-Day Episode 16

Ja Hyuk now is showing his true color. Such a dirty politician and ambitious just like the evil hospital director. He’s capitalizing the disaster for his own interest. Surely, that Yeoui do thing maybe the heart and soul of Korea’s financial operation that needs to be taken care of but it’s not the main reason why he is pressuring Captain Choi. His main concern is his construction business which is very much affected in connection with that Yeouido problem which put his company now in jeopardy. So he wanted very badly to have it fixed ASAP no matter what it takes. The firefighters’ mission is so dangerous and I believe where life is at stake, this matter should have been discussed in detail with the disaster committee not to be decided by only one person who have vested interest.

To my surprise and utter delight, this show is suddenly found its pace and it’s everything I’ve wanted in the first place for a show that’s about saving lives in the middle of a disaster. Pity that it’s only picking up at a time when most shows end, but considering there’s four more episodes to go after this, perhaps there’s still a chance the show will end on a strong, satisfying (and ultimately entertaining) note instead of the frustrating slog we’ve been enduring the past couple of weeks. We can only hope and put our faith in Ddol-mi.
